Oh man. What can I say about this wedding? This one was near and dear to our hearts. As many of you know, Jess was one of our lead photographers for quite awhile. She was the first one I trusted the responsibility of photographing under the Blueflash name to. I was searching through the internet to find someone that looked like they had the talent, the right style, and the right personality to join our team and I came across her. She came by the studio so we could have our awkward introduction (entirely my fault) and the rest is history. I’ve loved having her as part of the team and over the years we grew to be great friends.
She came to RI/MA to go to Hallmark school of Photography all the way from Michigan where she grew up. As time went on and she visited back home she met Chad. Love soon followed, and then soon after that I was sitting across from Jess at my kitchen table and she broke the news that she was probably going to be getting engaged, married, and moving back to Michigan for good soon. I was bummed out to lose her but obviously happy for her at the same time.
Time moved on and Dan and I found ourselves on a flight to Michigan with all our gear so we could take the photos and make the wedding video. It was really great to be able to get out there and be a part of it. It was not great, however, to spill syrup on my one week old phone’s camera lens during breakfast before the wedding. I’d do it again if I had the choice though, syrup lens and all.
Jess is an awesome person (Chad’s pretty cool, too) and I’m still holding out for her to come to her senses and move back to RI. She’s been busy lately starting up her business specializing in boudoir photography called Darling and Desire (http://www.darlinganddesire.com). It’s great to see her taking off doing what she loves out there. Take a look at her wedding film and some highlights from her photos. Congrats to Jess and Chad – we love you guys!
