West Bridgewater Canoe Club Wedding

Jennifer spent her morning getting ready at her lovely home with her beautiful bridesmaids. Robert prepped for the big day at the Marriott Hotel. After getting ready, Jennifer shared a special moment with her parents before the big I do. First looks done with parents is a trend we’re seeing on the rise. We just love it! What a sweet moment to share. After a few tender moments with mom and dad, it was time for the ceremony.

Everyone headed over to St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater, MA, and they tied the knot! Once the ceremony was over the wedding party snapped some photos in front of the church and then took a ride on the party bus to the reception at Canoe Club Ballroom in West Bridgewater Massachusetts. They ended the night dancing the night away with all of their family and friends. Don’t forget to take a look at their beautiful photos below.

Venue Spotlight | Five Bridge Inn

The Venue Spotlight Series

Over the past few years we’ve photographed a lot of wedding venues. Like, a lot of venues. We thought that we’d bring something a little different to the blog to highlight some of these wonderful spaces. In the coming months, we’ll feature some helpful information and beautiful photos and videos of wedding venues around Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut that you are going to absolutely love. So, without further ado, here’s the next edition of our venue spotlight series: Five Bridge Inn!

Five Bridge Inn Weddings

One of the biggest factors that can make a wedding day stressful is location. You might get ready in one location, travel to the ceremony, travel to a separate photo location, and finally make it to the reception. It can be complication! Five Bridge Inn solves that problem completely. You can get ready, have your ceremony, reception. and an after party without having to leave the property. It’s absolutely perfect for a stress-free wedding day. The guest rooms are cozy and well appointed. There’s ample space for the wedding party and even space for wedding morning yoga!

The setting is to-die for. The Inn is in Rehoboth, quaint and off the beaten path, but just a 20 minute drive from Providence. A private, country setting, while still being incredibly convenient for travel. There are multiple locations on the property to hold your ceremony, including a movable rain tent! After the ceremony, there’s a ton of options for photo locations. The grounds and gardens are meticulously cared for, and stunningly beautiful The reception tent is beautiful and can be easily customized to your design scheme. After the wedding, you can settle in by the fire for an intimate after party. On top of that, when you rent the property, breakfast the following morning is included!

If you’re looking for a country estate where you can kick your feet up and truly enjoy your entire wedding weekend, this is it. Be sure to call our dear friend Ann, she’l take great care of you for your big day. Be sure to check out the aerial video of the property and photo highlights below!

Melissa and Ryan | The Villa Wedding

You might remember Melissa and Ryan from their engagement session by the water way back when. It was the session with some photos from their high school in the gym. It was a little warmer at their engagement session than on their wedding day a few weeks ago, but they were still just as excited and just as in love!

The wedding took place at The Villa in East Bridgewater, MA. It had been awhile since we photographed there and it was nicer than I even remember it to be (and I remembered it being a nice place). They had it decorated perfectly for wintertime and the place was filled up with loving relatives and friends.

One awesome thing Melissa and Ryan did at their Villa wedding was put little cards on each seat at the ceremony that asked the guests to just be present for their wedding rather than trying to take cell phone photos. There’s a picture of it below in the highlights. I love the concept of having everyone be 100% there for the ceremony instead of trying to take pictures. It also helps us be able to do our job better for our brides and grooms. We liked it so much that we made our own little cards and are going to let our future couples use them if they’d like at their own wedding.

Even though it was five million below zero outside we still got out there for a few minutes to get some photos with the snow. We also grabbed some bridal party photos right outside the venue. The rest of the night was a great celebration of the new marriage with some touching family tributes and speeches. It was awesome to be a part of their wedding and be able to photograph it and create their wedding film. Take a look at both below! Keep your eyes opened for a future trash the dress session with Melissa!
