Mallory and Brent | The Towers Wedding

Sometimes rain can be a four letter word in the world of weddings. Rain can make a wedding day memorable and utterly romantic, even if you do get a little wet. It’s worth it! Not to mention the great photographs you can get with a little rain! Mallory and Brent married last fall in the sweetest ceremony. Emily and Kearsten teamed up to photograph the couple and Caleb brought the Bluecube. You’re going to love the photos and details from this Narragansett Towers wedding. Check out all the details below!

The Narragansett Towers Wedding

Mallory spent the morning getting ready with her nearest and dearest at Aqua Blue in Narragansett. The bridesmaids wore the most lovely shade of plum, which set off the rose-y pinks and ivories in bouquets. They couldn’t have looked lovelier! The ceremony took place at the gorgeous South County museum under the cover of umbrellas. They say that rain on a wedding is a sign of blessing, so we know this couple is extra blessed!

The ceremony was full to overflowing with smiles and laughter. After the vows were sealed with a kiss, the rain let up for a little while! This provided the perfect opportunity to get some photos overlooking the water at Bass Rock. Following the photo session, was a joyous reception at The Narragansett Towers. Mallory and Brent, congratulations! We loved every minute of the wedding day. From the whole Blueflash team, we wish you a long and successful marriage. Be sure to check out all the photos below!

Heather and Mark | Point Judith Lighthouse Engagement

We love engagement sessions! It’s so fun to join a couple on the start of this exciting journey! Today we’re going to glance back at Heather and Mark’s Point Judith Lighthouse engagement shoot!

Our mutual love for the ocean led us and this happy couple over to Narraganset Bay, and lucky for us the weather could not have been better! We started the shoot from afar, enjoying all that the landscape had to offer. We strolled through the grass that overlook the Camp Cronin Beach. With the sun starting to set behind us, we soaked in the last heat that the sun was allotting us for the day. We snapped the last couple of pictures in front of the Point Judith Lighthouse and called it a day!

We had such a blast hanging out with Heather and Mark! And we really cannot wait for their Harbor Lights wedding coming up next month! Make sure to scroll down to see this happy couple’s engagement session!

Casey and Nick | The Towers Wedding

Happy September everyone! Nothing is better than a Rhode Island autumn. Here at Blueflash, we love everything about summer, but it’s time to put some of these muggy days behind us and watch the trees turn every beautiful shade of gorgeous while wearing our favorite boots and scarfs! Let’s celebrate this new month with Casey and Nick’s wedding at The Towers. Brian and Jamie took care of the photography and Nate was the cinematographer for the day!

Casey and all of her favorite ladies started off this wonderful day with a little bit of hair and makeup. After a fun morning of preparation, the beautiful bridesmaids helped Casey slide into her gorgeous wedding gown. Now that we had five stunning bridesmaids and one glowing bride, it was time to get married! Casey and Nick exchanged beautiful vows and sealed their love with a kiss. Our bride and groom, now officially man and wife, it was time to celebrate with all of their loved ones!

Thanks for letting us be apart of your special day! Check out the highlights and wedding film below!

Susan and Ben | Towers Wedding

We love ourselves a good early morning start. Most of the time. It’s worth it when your day starts out with the view you can see in the first photo below. It also helps when there’s good people on the other end getting ready for their wedding day. That was the case for us with Susan and Ben’s Towers wedding.

It was a 7AM start time at the Towers. They had a day wedding (brunch for the win) and in order to be ready for a 10:30AM ceremony you’ve got to start early. Dan, Emily and I got to the Towers at about ten of seven and saw the sun start to peek its head across the Atlantic horizon. Not bad.

Everything went pretty much according to plan with the girls. The guys showed up at about quarter to nine and we hung out with them for a bit to get some photos and video. The Towers looked great for the ceremony at that time of day. Light flooded in through the windows all along the whole venue. I don’t think I took my flash out of my case the entire wedding which was a nice change of pace.

The rest of the reception was classy and relaxed. Day weddings have a totally different feel than night weddings. It’s really interesting to experience the difference. When the day was getting close to the end we jumped in the car and drove down the street with Ben and Susan to get some more photos and video of the two of them together. They put their handwritten vows in a bottle and threw them into the Atlantic, the start of an annual tradition for them. It was, umm, in a biodegradable bottle…

Check out their wedding film and highlights below. Congrats to the both of them as they start their new life together!

Alita and Will | Towers Wedding

We loved working with Alita and Will at their Towers wedding. They were so easygoing, had a good sense of humor, and were just generally good people. They loved each other and were excited to be getting married and it showed.

Alita and her girls got ready at the Hampton Inn. That’s also where the guys ended up and where they had their first look. There was a big grassy area in the back of the property lined with trees that looked pretty cool. Alita sported her red Toms throughout the event and Will had some equally bold red Supras.

We were able to get a good variety of photos with Narragansett beach a few steps away and a little rock jut-out down the street from the Towers. Check out the sweet night time shots out on the balcony. I’m loving how those came out with the lights and ocean in the background.

Thanks so much to Alita and Will for having us be a part of their wedding. We wish you guys all the best with everything!

Bethany and Austin | Towers Wedding

Bethany and Austin’s wedding brought us on a few adventures. After the getting ready part of the day we all walked a long winding path to get out to a crazy view of the ocean while standing on big boulders near the shore. That was the backdrop for their first look, which worked out pretty good in my opinion.

We were able to jump right into bride and groom creatives along with the bridal party after that before heading off to the ceremony at the South County Museum. Ridiculously cool location number two. It was an old stone building that had a bunch of ivy growing all over the walls with no roof on top. It was a hot summer day so the Del’s cart right outside the ceremony was a welcome sight. After downing three or four of those we were ready to do the family photos.

We (me, Dan, and Emily) piled in the car and headed off to the third location in Narragansett for their Towers wedding reception. The Towers always looks good, so there’s not much more to say about that. How can you not like a room that stretches across the road beneath and always has white string lights hanging along the ceiling? The party went strong and eventually it was time for us to take off. We were so hot when we left that we decided to throw our gear in the car and jump in the ocean for a late night swim. By ‘we’ I mean me and Emily. Dan stood on shore claiming that he didn’t want to drive home with wet clothes. His loss.

It was a great end to a really great wedding. We’re really glad they chose us to be a part of their wedding and that we were able to photograph it as well as create their wedding film. Both are below for you to check out. All the best to Beth and Austin!
