We were visiting Kevin’s family in Portugal last summer, but before we headed to the Azores we stayed in London for a few days. As soon as we got off our plane and found our hotel, we headed to see the city. We stopped by Buckingham Palace first since Kevin always jokes about taking the queen’s throne. When we got to the palace Kevin asked me if he remembers the first time I told him I loved him, and he wanted to feel that way forever. Then he asked. The ring he bought is a solitary pearl, as a homage to my grandmother.
