It’s always cool when we get to do maternity photos for a couple, and then do the family session when the baby’s on the other side of the belly. That’s what happened with Chris and Christy. We did maternity photos way back, and then Madeline was born but we held off on the session until the weather warmed up. We figured a newborn wouldn’t be up for a 10 degree photoshoot.
We got together at the Smith Appleby House in Smithfield (which happens to be the place where Tara and I got married) and went to work. Madeline was great – able to sit up on her own and stand up for a little while if she had something to hold on to.
Christy brought a pretty awesome chair along with some other props, so we worked those in throughout the session. Congrats to Chris and Christy on their new addition. Being parents is an awesome adventure! Thanks for letting us photograph the steps along the way!
