Pardon the interruption to the blog series, but we’ve got a little bit of weekend recapping to do today and tomorrow. Saturday was a busy day for Blueflash. We participated in the Newport Wedding Expo during the day and then headed out to the Providence Public Library at night for the grand opening party put on by Grace Ormonde.
We’ll talk more about the bridal show tomorrow, but wanted to mention a couple things today about the Grace Ormonde event. We were invited because we partnered with them this year in their New England magazine (blue cover in photo above). Tara and I got dressed up, headed out, and met with some of the best in the wedding industry. It was a pleasure and honor to meet and talk with Grace herself as well as many others that are often behind some of the most awesome weddings in the country.
The Providence Public Library is newly renovated and quickly becoming the venue of choice in the state. I was excited to check it out since we have a wedding scheduled later this year that will be taking place there. They did a great job with the renovations and it’s easy to see why it is quickly becoming so desirable.
Russel Morin catered the event with some pretty interesting food (first time having savory cheesecake). There were tabletop displays by John Orton, Ray’s Flowers, and Stoneblossom. Ormonde Productions lit up the venue with tons of uplighting strategically placed around the venue to splash over the white walls and columns.
It was really great talking to wedding industry colleagues and getting to know some of the faces behind the names and brands. We’re excited about our partnership with Grace Ormonde’s magazines and are very much looking forward to where it takes our wedding photography!
Some photos and thoughts tomorrow on the Rosecliff bridal show…
