Gurney’s Newport Wedding

Today we are sharing Jamie and Jordan’s formal and fun Gurney’s Newport Wedding. For Jamie and Jordan, love at first sight is a real thing, these two met through Jordan’s sister, who is a good friend of Jamie’s, the day they met is the day they started dating and the rest is history!

…It was the weekend before our one year anniversary and I came to New York to celebrate. On Friday night Jordan gave me a gift for every month we’ve known each other, having to do with something we learned about each other, experienced together, or made plans to do in the future. Each gift had a notecard with the month and an explanation. On Saturday during a morning walk through Central Park (the most beautiful day of Spring yet), Jordan handed me a 13th card for “May 2017 and the future” and got down on one knee to propose while I was reading it. The women sitting on the bench next to us noticed I was getting proposed to before I did. The look on my face said it all.

Gurney’s is one of the best spots in Newport. Situated at the top of Goat Island, overlooking Newport Harbor and the Newport bridge, it has breathtaking views and epic sunsets! Jamie and Jordan were married on the lawn and then had their reception in the Rose Island Ballroom. Below is Jamie’s tale of how they landed on Gurney’s for their wedding day.

… When I went to Gurney’s and they opened up the doors to the Rose Island Ballroom I gasped because it was so beautiful. I was lucky enough to bring Jordan back to see him have the same reaction. We can’t wait to get married there and celebrate with our closest family and friends.
