“Colin and Jennie met at a Super Bowl party. He was there, recently back from his first contract at sea, with a childhood friend who knew the host from college. Jennie was there with her roommate, who knew the host from high school. There was no reason for either of us to be there other than we absolutely were meant to be there.

Jennie saw Colin first, and was immediately smitten with his handsome giant. She took the first opportunity she could to start talking to him, and they spent the entire time from half time to the end of the game talking to each other. At the end of the night, Colin asked Jennie for her number, and they started texting right away.

They went on their first date that Friday to the Celtics. Jennie was dressed in a green Boston t-shirt with gold makeup – to go to a basketball game. Colin was dressed in a button down shirt and nice shoes – to go on a first date. Needless to say, each of them was trying to make a great impression on the other. They spent the whole game talking and getting to know each other.

Jennie convinced Colin to come back the next night, to celebrate Jennie’s friend’s birthday. Colin came down with some friends, including Josh, one of our now groomsmen! They spent the night dancing and having a great time. At the end of the night, Jennie asked Colin outright, “Do you want to be my boyfriend?” Colin said, “Yes,” and the rest is history.”
