Merry Christmas to all of you. I really wish I had some awesome, creative, and interesting Christmas themed photo to share with you. I don’t. We’ve been scrambling just to get our personal Christmas card out (see below). Plus, we’re so lame that we didn’t do it in time to send it through the mail. We’re bad. Bring on the coal.
Fortunately that stuff doesn’t really matter very much. It’s just stuff to keep us busy in December, boost the economy, and sell Elf on the Shelf toys. I’ll leave you with this as you prepare for the frying of the seven fishes tonight (what? Not everybody does that?).
Luke 2:9-14
And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
What could I possibly add to that? Merry Christmas. Remember what it’s all about this year.
