Sara and Frank’s wedding was the most laid back, relaxed wedding that we have probably ever been a part of. Sara is the sister of our good friends Steph and Bryan (Steph of Stephanie Mills Photography). Jaclyn and I headed up to Italianate Garden at Elm Bank of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society toward the end of May. It’s a mouthful, but the place was really cool.
They opted to do a first look so we shot that out in a field area near where the ceremony was going to be. That let us do all of the family photos beforehand and then focus on just the bridal part and bride groom immediately after the ceremony. Highly recommended to any of you out there trying to plan your wedding day timeline.
Rain was on and off, but stayed light. At the last minute they decided to still have the ceremony outside and it ended up being a good choice. Everything held out and stayed dry and they were able to have their outdoor wedding like they planned.
We definitely have the coolest clients. Sara and Frank both worked for Cirque Du Soleil so when I asked if Sara would be willing ot stand on a wall for a shot she pretty much laughed at me (in a good way, I think).
Bonus for this wedding – I got to see my buddy Steph tearing up the dance floor to her Earth, Wind, and Fire jams. Thanks so much to Sara and Frank for letting us be a part of your day. All the best to you guys!
