The Savory Affair is a Rhode Island based event planning and design company that handles corporate events as well as weddings. Sabrina and Alexandra from The Savory Affair had reached out to us to see if we wanted to photograph a styled shoot for them that they had in mind. We were game and told them we’d be on board. ‘Plan A’ fell through just a bit because there ended up being some issues with the venue we were originally going to shoot at. Sabrina and her team called an audible on the morning off and thoe whole thing went off without a hitch, last minute venue change and all. That’s the kind of professionalism you want at your wedding.
We ended up at Goddard Park so they could set up everything in a field. RI Rental, Michelle from Personal Touch Florist, and Mirage Design all contributed. Mirage created the fraternity themed planner seen in some photos. Michelle created all of the flower arrangements and RI Rental lent us the tables, chairs, and other rental items. Sabrina and Alexandra dreamed up the concept of a fraternity based reunion and the rest of us ran with it.
Michelle and the Savory Affair girls worked hard to set up different scenes with the floral arrangements and decor from RI Rental. I sat back and waited for them to do their magic and then arranged the models to take the shots. It was a fun experience and a huge bonus was that Bliss Celebrations picked up the shoot and ran it in their magazine. It’s always nice to get published after working hard on something!
