Every once in awhile you get a really awesome opportunity to shoot in a unique place. This engagement session with Alyssa and Jay was one of them. They wanted a Fenway Park engagement shoot, and we were more than happy to oblige.
They rented the place out for an hour. All was fair game – except actually stepping foot on the field. THAT would have been ridiculous. Even with that restriction it was still an experience and feeling I probably won’t forget. To see all the completely empty seats, the desolate field, and be able to hear quiet noises like birds chirping was so strange. The only other times I’ve been in Fenway it’s been loaded with people everywhere, all sorts of noise, and the smells of concession stand food.
We made the most of our 60 minutes in the park and ran all over the place like maniacs, making sure to get shots with the Green Monster and any other Fenway icon you can think of. It was definitely cool. After our time was up we walked around the outside of the park a little bit and took some street shots. I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story. Alyssa and Jay will be getting married in a few months (June) and we’re really looking forward to being a part of their wedding day!
