I (Matt here) grew up with Ari and we go way back to grade school days. As life progressed, Tara and I got married and Ari met up with her Matt and got married to him. We continued to stay friends and then we both started making mini-humans. It’s been a fun adventure and we’ve all become really good friends. Ari and Matt had Appleby, their first daughter, a little after we had Ezra. We then had Finn and they followed suit with their newest – Sage.
When they were pregnant with their second they asked if I’d do a maternity shoot for them. I warned them that it wasn’t my main gig and they were cool with that. Ari wanted to combine the shoot with some yoga on the beach. I thought that was a cool idea so I packed up my camera and lights and met them down at a private beach owned by RISD across from the RI Country Club in Barrington.
Appleby was awesome about the whole session and Matt served as a great assistant holding the lights for Ari’s solo yoga shots. It’s something a little different and I hope you like it. Take a look at the photos below. At the time of this blog post, Sage has been safely delivered to Matt and Ari and all is well.
