Bianca and Christopher were married at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island, choosing a place whose architecture and grounds fit the kind of portraits they wanted. They planned for a first look at the mansion and saved a few sunset images for later, weather permitting.
They met in college and reconnected after graduation at a homecoming event, a detail they still laugh about when they think back to how easily the conversation picked up again. Touring venues was a highlight of planning; Bianca remembers Chris taking careful notes as she and her mother asked questions while they explored options.
The proposal happened on a beach in Turks and Caicos, where Christopher surprised Bianca with a dinner on the sand. That quiet, thoughtful moment informed how they imagined the wedding: personal, attentive to small moments, and focused on time together rather than a long list of formal photos.
Their wedding party was large, and that scale shaped a few decisions — Bianca and Christopher prioritized portraits of the two of them and requested mostly candid captures of friends and family. They hoped to complete many portraits before the ceremony, but also requested at least a few portraits after the vows to catch the sunset light.
On the day, the first look at Aldrich Mansion created a private pause between them before the celebration resumed with their ceremony at the mansion chapel. Rather than a rigid schedule, their requests emphasized the kinds of moments they wanted to remember: quiet, close-up interactions and natural expressions.
They planned to steal away for a glass of champagne together after the ceremony and to linger for a handful of portraits — details that mattered more than a full itinerary. Bridesmaids wore different dresses by choice, and traditional touches mixed with relaxed, candid portraits throughout the rooms and on the mansion steps.
By the end of the night, the couple had the balanced album they hoped for: portraits that show them together, candid slices of the crowd, and a few treasured images taken as the light changed. The day reflected the practical, comfortable approach they used while planning — and a clear preference for each other’s company.
