Carolyn and Steve gave us our first chance at shooting a wedding at Sturbridge Village. It was our last one of 2014. If you’ve never been to Sturbridge Village you should check it out sometime. It’s like a portal to the past.
We ended up at there wedding because the Carolyn’s sister Sarah was the maid of honor at a wedding we had done in the past (Nikki and Rick’s) and said nice things about us to Carolyn. Thanks Sarah! We love doing weddings for people that are connected to past weddings like that.
Everything took place at Sturbridge Village. Carolyn got ready there and then went off to an ultra simple historic chapel type building on the property via horse drawn carriage. It was like walking into a history book. Never have we had to tiptoe around so carefully at a ceremony before! The floors creaked if you just looked at them.
After the ceremony we did formal photos in the chapel and then took Carolyn and Steve outside for some (cold) bridal portraits. We made sure to get some with the horse drawn carriage as well since that was important to Carolyn. From there we headed back to the main building for the reception and to warm up. The rest of the night went smoothly and I’ll let the pictures tell the story of the wedding. Thanks Carolyn and Steve (and Sarah, too)! All the best to you both!
