Once in awhile, you come across someone or an organization that is doing something so awesome for other people from the goodness of their heart(s). The Confetti Foundation is that type of organization. They go into hospitals and throw parties for all the kids that are getting care there. It gives them something fun to participate in and takes their mind off of whatever it is they’re at the hospital facing. Some of them are wrestling with life threatening cancers and diseases. Others are there recovering from a physical injury. Regardless of what it is, all are invited to attend the party, do some crafts, have some cake, and maybe watch a princess sing some songs.
They also send birthday kits to the kids who are in the hospital so they can be cheered up even though they have to spend their birthday in a hospital room. Stephanie Frazier Grimm started the Confetti Foundation only about five years ago and has since been able to spread it nationwide.
She contacted us to see if we’d like to donate our photography services to an event they were having at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. We obliged and had the opportunity to see the effects of her efforts. It was so awesome and humbling to see the kids trickle in and have their mind taken off the dreariness of hospital life for just an hour or two.
