There’s so much I can say about Emily and Peter’s styled shoot I don’t even know where to start. From conception to execution to post-production, this whole thing was so cool to be a part of. The goal was to pull the whole Blueflash team together, bring a hair and makeup team on board, find an awesome location, and make some awesome images.
I think it was a success in every aspect. Emily and Peter were the perfect couple for the shoot. They had just the right look for the location, which was Watson Farm in Jamestown, RI. We couldn’t have hit it any better with the light that day. I’m pretty sure we caught the only good day sandwiched between weeks of rain on either side.
The girls from Glamma, Inc. provided their expertise with the hair and makeup (Peter even got a little treatment, which I don’t think he was expecting). They did an awesome job and stuck around to see the whole thing through as well. Having them there let us really maximize our time by getting different looks throughout the shoot. The whole thing probably lasted a little over four hours from start to finish.
It was a team effort, for sure. Big thanks to Glamma Inc. for the hair and makeup, my wife Tara for helping through the planning process and getting/making props, Rachel and Nathan for the extra hands throughout the night, Watson Farm and the use of their awesome location, the Blueflash team, and of course Ezra for being a pretty cool two-year-old.
