Any early morning engagement session is a good one in my book. When it ends with going out to breakfast with the couple, it turns into an awesome one. I have to fully disclose up front that I love Katie and Ben. They are right at the top of the list of nicest people on earth.
We met up early at Sakonnett Vineyard and shot around the property under a grey misty sky. It was a little damp and we even had some raindrops falling on us but we used it to our advantage. We had the vineyard all to ourselves which was pretty cool. After that we went to some private property owned by Ben’s family. There were some old barn structures that had great textures that we used for some pictures. There was also an area in the yard that was really meaningful to Ben that we shot at.
I wish I had a picture of it but there was the most serious tree house I’ve ever seen on the property, too. It made me want to go home and start building one. We lit some shots inside a nearly pitch black barn and I love how they came out.
The last stop was down by the water where their actual proposal happened. The wind was picking up so we did our thing and then packed up. From there we headed over to a local breakfast spot to eat and shoot the breeze. All in all it was a great session. Definitely looking forward to their wedding this year!
