You might remember Melissa and Ryan from their engagement session by the water way back when. It was the session with some photos from their high school in the gym. It was a little warmer at their engagement session than on their wedding day a few weeks ago, but they were still just as excited and just as in love!
The wedding took place at The Villa in East Bridgewater, MA. It had been awhile since we photographed there and it was nicer than I even remember it to be (and I remembered it being a nice place). They had it decorated perfectly for wintertime and the place was filled up with loving relatives and friends.
One awesome thing Melissa and Ryan did at their Villa wedding was put little cards on each seat at the ceremony that asked the guests to just be present for their wedding rather than trying to take cell phone photos. There’s a picture of it below in the highlights. I love the concept of having everyone be 100% there for the ceremony instead of trying to take pictures. It also helps us be able to do our job better for our brides and grooms. We liked it so much that we made our own little cards and are going to let our future couples use them if they’d like at their own wedding.
Even though it was five million below zero outside we still got out there for a few minutes to get some photos with the snow. We also grabbed some bridal party photos right outside the venue. The rest of the night was a great celebration of the new marriage with some touching family tributes and speeches. It was awesome to be a part of their wedding and be able to photograph it and create their wedding film. Take a look at both below! Keep your eyes opened for a future trash the dress session with Melissa!
