This weekend was a whirlwind. There was so much going on and it was all happening with a 102 degree fever, achy muscles, stomach ache, headache, and a lot of whining from a certain someone (it may have been me). And a bridal show at The Original Wedding Expo.
We photographed an awesome wedding at Oceancliff Saturday night, but that’s for a future post. I just wanted to give a quick rundown of how the Original Wedding Expo at Twin River in Lincoln went on Sunday.
First off, it was awesome meeting all the brides, grooms, sisters, moms, dads, friends, etc… People had a great time using the Bluecube and our booth space was at least twice the size that we’ve gotten used to at the last two shows. Having the extra space was great. It let us have a couch and coffee table where people could sit down, relax, and check out some albums. The couch was a bonus during the fashion show when things slowed down, too.
The people that put on The Original Wedding Expo win the award for being the coolest and the most helpful of all the shows we’ve been to so far. They even let us borrow some lights for our display which saved us a trip back home or to the nearest Target. It was really nice to see them be involved in the vendor setups and making sure we all had what we needed.
We may be photographers, but neither Jaclyn or myself took our cameras. There was so much other stuff to bring that it got left out of the pile. All we’ve got for photos are these terrible cell phone pictures. They’re better than nothing I suppose. Huge thanks (as usual) to my dad, who is the best dad on earth, for helping me lug everything back and forth and helping us get set up and broken down.
We made some new friends that were our booth neighbors – The girls from Bella Rose Linens and the fine people at The Bean Counter Bakery, makers of the world’s moistest cake. It was also nice to run into Sarah Daly and catch up a little bit.
Looking forward to the follow-up meetings and conversations with all the people we met at the show! Thanks to everyone who came by our booth and spent some time with us. Hope you loved what you saw.
