The scene is New Year’s Day 2015 at The Lippitt House in Providence, RI. Sarah and Stephen had an extremely intimate wedding with about 20 guests in attendance. It was a great way for us to start off the New Year. A cool, calm, and relaxed Sarah got ready on site upstairs and the ceremony and reception took place downstairs. We had never been to The Lippitt House before their wedding. It was extremely ornate and interesting inside.
I really liked shooting upstairs near a giant two-door window that was nearly floor to ceiling. It was perfect to let the winter light flood in. The dark wood absorbed a lot of it and gave it a sharp and defined character – really good for dramatic lighting.
The small and intimate atmosphere for their Lippitt House wedding was a nice change of pace from the traditional weddings we usually do with hundreds of people. It was nice to see people coming from all over the country to be there to celebrate their marriage with them.
Thank you so much for having us and we wish you both all the best in your new marriage. Congratulations Sarah and Stephen!
