Lots of exciting stuff has been happening around here as of late. We have yet another big announcement to make to everyone. As with most of the other things we’ve been unloading on you lately, this one has been in the works for awhile now and is finally getting its public unveiling.
Blueflash is, as you probably know, primarily a wedding photography studio. Though we don’t advertise for it, we do take on other assignments and jobs that are not wedding related. We have had the opportunity to do enough commercial work over the past year or so that we felt it was time to launch a new division of Blueflash, appropriately and creatively named Blueflash Commercial. If you didn’t think the name was exciting enough, the URL will definitely make you fall off your chair – come check it all out at https://www.blueflashphotography.com/commercial.
Besides this launch post, you won’t hear much about the commercial assignments on this blog. The new mini-site will be the holding place for all things commercial. What is commercial? Commercial photography is any (but not limited to) the following: Product photography, residential photography, hospitality photography, photography for businesses (i.e. headshots, staff photos, advertising images), etc…
We’ve already had the opportunity to do product photography for various businesses in RI and CT as well as taking a trip to New York to photograph some restaurants for a design firm. There are adventures to be had and we don’t want to miss out. The segregation of the two divisions is purposeful. Our commercial work will not adversely effect our vision for weddings. It’s good to have a specialty, but it’s also good to be well-rounded and keep your skills sharp in all areas of the craft.
So… if you know anyone that could use a commercial photographer, now you know who to send them to.
