“We were on vacation in Mont Tremblant in Quebec, Canada. We essentially had a private hotel as there weren’t many skiers left in April. Rikky, the ever adventurous, decided that we should rent snow shoes and hike up to the top of the mountain, as the ski lift was no longer operating for the season. The trek was full of beautiful sights and laughs from getting stuck in the snow. As we reached the top, it became icy and slippery. I was feeling a bit nervous and wasn’t keen on finishing the hike.

Rikky is very good about getting me to step outside of my comfort zone and he held my hand to help me finish the rest of the way. As we completed the hike, Rikky turned towards me, said some beautiful words about our hike and the life we have built together so far and he dropped onto one knee. The amazing view from the top of the mountain took my breath away but not as much as the surprise when Rikky asked me to marry him. I said yes and knew that we would share many more adventures like this one throughout our life together.”
