Our Roger Williams Park Engagement shoot with Erica and Brian was a quintessential New England fall day. The leaves were just beginning to turn, but the sun still had warmth. We had a great time walking through the grounds of Roger Williams Park with them!
Their Proposal Story:
As Brian would like to say, Erica was clueless and missed just about every sign on February 3rd, 2018. The day started as any normal Saturday, with Erica obsessively cleaning the house. Brian mentioned that he was going to get light bulbs for the basement. In her cleaning frenzy and binging on The Bachelor, she did not notice he was gone for over two hours. They were going to have a date night and go to The Stone Rose, where they had their first date. After a delicious dinner, they drove home. After they parked in the garage, Brian sprinted into the house. Confused, Erica tentatively walked on in. What she saw when she walked in shocked her: ten dozen roses, candles everywhere, and her friend Kelsey behind a camera. In true Erica fashion, she asked shakily, “um, what is this?” It was the most romantic thing she had ever seen. She was so thankful for the pictures and the video camera, because Erica couldn’t even hear at hing Brian said due to being overjoyed with happiness and shock. Brian mentioned that they had a reservation to grab a drink at The Blue BellInn to celebrate with two friends. When they arrived, they were led upstairs. Erica, still shaking, remarked, “I can’t believe this is my life!” Unbeknownst to her, she was about to get her second big shock of the night. After turning the corner, she saw forty faces staring at her yelling “Surprise!” Dropping her jacket, she started crying yet again. Thank goodness for water proof mascara!! Friends and family came from far and wide to celebrate. After running to hug her parents, she yelled, “you guys are such liars!” There was a surprise at every corner as she turned to see who was there. Friends and family from Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and even Iowa had all come to share in this special day. Erica likes to say that Brian was a smart man for choosing that day to propose. As Brian’s favorite team the Philadelphia Eagles defeated her beloved New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, she kept staring at her beautiful engagement ring. She knew that, although her team did not win, she still did get a much better ring that weekend!
