Wedding at Castle Hill Inn
Here’s a bright, sunshine-filled wedding to brighten your day! Mary and Alex’s wedding at Castle Hill Inn has it all: a beautiful couple, a stunning venue, cocktails named after a couple of rescue pups! You’re gonna love it. Emily and Brian photographed, while Nate captured a great wedding film.
Mary and Alex shared their proposal story with us. It’s so cute, we thought we’d share it with you all:
“Alex had planned a weekend up in Newport, which was not uncommon as we go up all the time. Mary had taken the day off so that she would not have to rush. While Mary was packing, Alex was very adamant that they leave soon to few drinks on the beach before checking into the hotel. Mary told him to stop rushing her in her usual way. On the way up Mary was thinking about how it was starting to rain and she really didn’t want to have a drink on the beach, but because Alex is usually the one to give in Mary decided to let him have his way.
We walked onto Rejects Beach (where Alex actually had asked Mary to be his girlfriend a little over 6 years prior), Mary’s attention immediately went to the dog playing in the water. So off Mary went to pet the dog. Alex kept calling for Mary’s attention, but Mary was busy with the dog. When she finally turned around Alex had set up a blanket with champagne flutes and got down on one knee. Ironically enough, Alex had asked Mary to be his girlfriend at this same spot a little over 6 years prior and, in normal Mary fashion, she was too busy to notice the little picnic blanket set up until Alex finally pointed it out. Much in the same way it was at our engagement.”
So sweet! May and Alex, we wish you all the best. Thanks for inviting us to be a part of the fun! Be sure to check out their wedding video and photo highlights below!
