Melissa and Dan | Regatta Place Newport Wedding
It was a hot, hot summer day for Melissa and Dan’s Regatta Place Newport Wedding. Their families as witnesses, along with their closest friends, Melissa and Dan exchanged promises to each other in a touching, tear filled ceremony. Certainly a tear jerker, they each wrote their own vows, with sweet inside jokes and shared stories of their life together. Melissa was prepared and had given each guest a small packet of tissues for their “happy tears”.
There is nothing better than July in Newport, Rhode Island. Melissa and Dan were blessed with an incredible summer day for their oceanside wedding. A thunderstorm hung nearby, but never amounted to anything more than a few rain drops just before the ceremony started. Regatta Place provides the most beautiful setting for a wedding. Set in Newport Harbor overlooking the bay and Newport Bridge. Guests welcomed the ocean breeze as it blew through the ceremony tent and swirled around cocktail hour.

Melissa and Dan did quite a bit of DIY for their Regatta Place Newport Wedding. They even had friends from near and far collect Bulleit Whiskey bottles for their centerpieces. Dan and Melissa painted each one and scuffed them up for a slightly rustic look. They came out beautifully and were the perfect personal touch for their shared love of Whiskey.
